Who we are:

We are a committee of OCIA catechists and coordinators who represent the parishes in the Diocese. Together with the Diocesan staff, we work with coordinators throughout the Diocese to implement the OCIA process fully within the Diocese of Sacramento.

What we do:

The Diocesan OCIA committee is responsible for planning, coordinating and/or facilitating:

• The Rite of Election in the Diocese (as well as assisting at the liturgies)
• OCIA workshops for catechists and coordinators to help implement OCIA within the parishes throughout the Diocese
• This includes specialized workshops and inviting special speakers to give workshops
• The OCIA committee is also responsible for assessing needs and providing support within the various deaneries in the Diocese
• Needs are reported to the larger committee to help plan appropriate training and workshops
