Let us take some time to pray for the unborn, their mothers and fathers, and pray for state and federal laws that harm those most vulnerable. Twelve parishes across the diocese will be hosting the novena Jan. 13-Jan. 21.

From January 13-21, 2025, join our 9-Day Novena Pro-Life Eucharistic Adoration.
Here are the parishes below that will be hosting adoration:
Bishop Soto, joined by members of the clergy of Sacramento, will offer a Mass of Reparation for the sin of legalized abortion inflicting the people of California.
January 22 marks the anniversary of the lamentable 1973 U.S. Supreme Court Decision, Roe v. Wade. While Roe was overturned in 2022, Proposition One was passed in California, embedding the practice of unrestricted access to abortion in our State Constitution.

Our speakers will be Armando Cervantes, Miriam Sammartino, and Fr. Mauricio Hurtado. And our day will be filled with music and emceed by Andres Gonzales and Fernando Rios. Sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish.

Congratulations on earning your Catholic religious emblem award! The Catholic Committee on Scouting, Bishop Soto and our Chaplain, Fr. Christopher Frazer, would like to recognize your achievement at the annual Awards Recognition Ceremony. Please arrive 15 minutes early, wear your Class A uniform and award pin, and bring your troop/pack flag with a stand. Parents will have an opportunity for pictures, so bring a camera!

Join in a Mass for healing, where attendees will seek solace from grief and entrust their loved ones to the Father's care.
After the Mass, those in attendance will release a lantern of hope in their memory.
Held at St. Mary Cemetery and Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento; Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center at 7100 Verner Ave. in Citrus Heights; and All Souls Cemetery and Funeral Center at 550 Glen Cove Road in Vallejo.
