God has endowed YOU with special abilities.

At your Baptism, he called you to use them to save the world.

What have you done about that lately?

JOIN US FOR YOUTH CONVENTION 2009!

56th Annual Diocesan Convention / Youth & Young Adult Conference

“HEROES:  Many Gifts, One Spirit. / HEROES: Muchos Dones, Un Solo Espiritu”

The goal of our day together will be to challenge each person in attendance to look closely at their lives and the gifts that they have been given and to remind them that these "abilities" have been given for an important purpose -- to build Christ's Kingdom.  Furthermore, that each person and each gift is extremely important as we together make up the body of Christ.

We will use the lives of the saints as examples of the different charisms.  Workshops will focus on how to discern and use our gifts and what we can learn from the lives of the saints about how to live as disciples today.

We are pleased to announce that APEX Ministries will be joining us to provide a keynote address, workshops and entertainment during the day.  The day will include a keynote, workshops, mass, and an evening concert featuring several bands from all areas of the diocese!  Bishop Soto will be joining us for the afternoon and evening.

If you would like overnight accommodations for Friday and/or Saturday night, please contact Kira Creighton ASAP at 530-949-9244 or via email at pray.for.catholic.youth.ministry@hotmail.com.
